    What do I need to bring to my appointment?
    • Referral letter from your GP or other specialist
      Can be faxed, sent by email, posted, or brought in on the day
    • Medicare +/- Health cards
    • Latest prescription
    • Investigations reports (if any available)
      New patients –
      You may have to fill in a questionnaire for consent to disclosure of information prior to appointment
    What is the consultation fee?
    • Please discuss while booking appointment
    • Some part of the fee (not all) will be covered by Medicare and so there will be an out of pocket expense.
    • We may even Bulk Bill if required (please speak to reception)
    What can I claim from my health fund?
    • Health Funds do not cover clinic appointment fees, but they do cover inpatient stays.  Staff will check this for you.
    • For inpatient admissions there is no further separate fee for the doctor
    How long will it take to get an appointment?
    • Typically between 4-5/ 52 but please discuss with reception if your needs are urgent.
    How long will I be there?
    • We prefer new patients to arrive at least 15 mins earlier to fill in the questionnaire etc.
    • Inpatient admission duration depends on rehabilitation goals
    Follow up visits
    • Please liaise with reception to arrange the follow up visit date. The fees are lower in follow up visits

    Research –
    We routinely ask for consent to take part in audit and research activities.
    You DO NOT have to consent.
    If you do consent, then we shall share more information as and when required.

    Privacy –
    Your records and health information are held in confidence. These are not disclosed to any third party:  Unless you give consent
    It is required to share information with other professionals as part of our duty of care
    The clinic letters are not to be used for medico-legal purposes.

    Education –
    We take pride in patient education, information sharing and empowerment.
    Educational leaflets and pamphlets including information on ‘services available’ are for your use.
